Hello New Flat!

The day after Christmas, we changed flats. There is a couple here that lets missionaries stay in their flat (which is attached to their house) when they are here having a baby. It is free to live here and we are just SO blessed to have contacts who hooked us up with this deal.

The place is small, but cozy. It seems to be the perfect size for our family.....everything we need is right here. Again, just so thankful for this place!

Here is the "front door". It opens into our bedroom. It is also where we sit and watch TV. The bathroom is off of this room and so is the laundry room. We share the laundry room with the couple that lives in the house. What is nice is that on rainy days, we even have access to a DRYER. We don't have this luxury in PNG....and at Tree Tops, we were paying $2 for a load of laundry and then another $2 is we wanted to dry it. So, we didn't use the dryers there. It's the little things people!!

Here is the kitchen. It shares a room with Ben's room:

Here is a picture of the whole house. We are the sliding glass door on the left of the house. This house s surrounded by sugarcane fields.

Here is our view from the kitchen table. Not too bad. Actually, it is quite beautiful!

The owners of the house have a family business in the sugarcane industry. This first field they killed off and it will lay dormant for a year while the soil improves...hence the brown grass.

And, what makes this house is that we have access to their grill and their pool! Ben can now swim in the deep end without ANY floaties. Really love living here n Cairns!
