We had a lot of fun this Halloween....mainly because of our first friends in Fort Collins!! You see, our friends Geoff and Sue who we met (and loved) in PNG have good friends here in the area. Sue's college roommate lives here....so when Sue heard we were moving to FOCO (or Fort Collins), she called up her friend Pat and asked Pat to meet me.
Pat was the first stay at home mom that I got to chat with and it was like a weight was lifted off of me when we met. I just knew that God has placed her in my life for a reason....
Pat invited us over to celebrate Halloween with her family and extended family. Her cousin Amanda (who lives in the area with her family) has 3 kids....and again, I will always remember how God used this family to help us feel like we fit here.....and that everything was going to be ok and work out....
So, below are pictures of Ben making cookies; Mel eating cookies. Ben as a pirate; Mel as Tinkerbell with upside down wings...haha....it was the only way she would wear them. And, pictures from our Halloween dinner with Pat and Amanda and their families....which included brain, eyeballs, witch fingers, etc. I just love their creativity, not to mention how they are just fabulous cooks!
So, Ben and Mel got to go trick-or-treating twice in one day. There are also pictures of us in Old Town (FOCO's downtown). All the local business owners passed out candy that morning. It was so much fun! We also went trick-or-treating that evening with Pat and Amanda and family...
