On Monday, we will have our last shopping day in town. Caleb and I are busy figuring out what appliances we need to buy for our house. We sold the appliances that we use everyday because they were not convertable. Problem is, there is only one road that goes from the mountains to Madang (the beach). A bridge is out, so we will not be able to send any of our things by road. Instead, we will have to pay to have everything flown in. Grrr...
We can already see that our mentality has changed. What do we need vs what do we want? It is a constant struggle.
We found out that we will be flying to our new home on Tuesday. Unfortunately, it will take a couple of days before our internet is up and running. Our crate has arrived, so all our things that we shipped out in December will be waiting for us when we get there.
We are apprehensive and excited about this big move. Obviously we are excited to make our house a home, meet old and new friends and get to work. But, this is it. This is the last big transition for a while.....once we move, this is where we will live for the remainder of our time in PNG (maybe not the exact house, but in this one place). As wonderful as this new home sounds, there is no denying the fact that it is isolated. There are many ways to get involved in this new community, but no options other than this new community! =0) We are praying that God would pave the wave for this next transition....

How exciting that your crate has arrived before you! That is definitely an answer to prayer! Breathe deeply and ENJOY the advnture that you have before you Even here in Maryland, we have heard of the challenge that Caleb will be taking on (through other missionaries) so we will continue to pray fervently that God grants him favor and wisdom. And that God equips you both for that which lies before you!
