If you are a prayer partner, you have been receiving a lot of updates about the security situation here in PNG. This is a personal blog, not a ministry blog. We wish that we could have both, but chose not to at this time. If we had a ministry blog, we fear that ALL our personal blog posts would have to be approved….and that would just defeat the purpose of our personal/family blog. So, if you come to this blog hoping to get all the updates on our ministry, we are so sorry to disappoint. Please e-mail us at calebandadrienneweir@gmail.com so that we can put you on our Newsletter list and Prayer E-mail list.
That being said, for those of you that know the events that have transpired this past week, here is a picture of our Friday afternoon.
Here is a general background: There is a big water project underway. The project was in a very critical phase….meaning If a big rain came without this phase being completed, than weeks of work would have been for nothing. When the workers were unable to show up for work (they were intimidated and left), we all pulled together to do the work ourselves! Close to 80 of us expats (meaning people who have come here to work from other countries) were involved. It was so nice to see how many people “dropped everything” just to help!
Please be in continued prayer. As nice as this was, clearly days like this take away from the work we have all come here to do.
