Ben and Mel each had a birthday recently. Ben is now 6 and Mel is 2. For their birthdays, my aunt and uncle dreamed up a Bears & Bowling kind of a day!
What an experience! Ben had gone to Build a Bear when he was 1 1/2, but having the kids older made the trip more memorable.
Ben picked out a really soft bear and named him Fuzzy.....but it is spelled FuZ. :) If you squeeze his arm, you hear the Star Wars theme......and FuZ has a jedi costume.
Mel's was more random. She picked out a golden retriever puppy....super soft. But, the pup has Hello Kitty slippers (to match Mel's) and a Hello Kitty robe. If you can get past that a dog is wearing cats, then it really is cute. When you squeeze Lele (Hawaiian name for Jump....since Mel is jumping all the time and highly active), you hear One Direction- What Makes You Beautiful. Classy!
Ben and Mel each got a brush and continue to take care of their animals. :) So cute!
After Bears, it was on to bowling. We weren't sure if Mel would like it or even be able to focus......we were surprised. The girl is a natural athlete. She was more interested in bowling than Ben (who became obsessed with the arcade instead).
She would grab her own ball, push it down the ramp and yell "Go Ball! Go Ball!" the whole time. When it hit the pins, she jumped up and down and screamed "YAY!!!!!"
Over and over and over and over again. I am not exaggerating!
Ben had a great time, too. He wanted to bowl without the ramp. I just love this second picture. It is blurry because I was laughing so hard....
...he kept getting closer and closer to crossing that line. hahahahaha
As we were leaving, Ben said to my aunt and uncle "This was the best day ever, actually!"
